Hawk and Ben live in a somewhat small town where pretty much nothing happens... so it's no surprise that about the only way for them to have fun is to get into trouble. They're sort of misfits at school, and are known only for their mischievious pranks at school, though they are exceptional students otherwise.
Hawk is a very talented shooter, which he attributes to plenty of practice on gun games in the arcade. He totes around an experimental model of a laser gun the army has been developing. Hawk has a gung-ho attitude and is good with quick decisions, but is maybe sometimes too hasty and misses the whole picture. Also, Hawk has been trying to learn martial arts from Ben and they have a friendly rivalry going.

It's a lazy evening at the beginning of spring break and Hawk is kicked back on the couch with the latest issue of X-men. He's waiting for Ben to come home with some snacks for the evening, but had no clue Ben would also come home with a surprise.
