Sven is the heir to the throne of a mighty spider monkey civilization. Not only is he of royal birth, but he is heroic, kind, merciful, and a great leader. Indeed, our world has never seen a spider monkey of this caliber. Sven had to sieze the throne from the terrible rule of his evil uncle Squee.
But having secured the safety of his people, Sven realized that his people deserve a more mature, well-rounded leader. He left his kingdom in the capable hands of his brother and left on a quest with Ben and Hawk to travel dimensions, becoming wiser and more at one with the universe.

We first saw Sven in the original version of Alt-Ctrl-Dimension where he sentenced the two dimensional travelers to death because they invaded his dimension. Sven had a what we thought was a swedish hat back then.
