It was spring of 1999 and Ben was packed for a long trip to Japan. He was travelling alone to a country far away from his friends and his family... It's understandable that a guy could be lonely, even apprehensive about his trip, even if he'd been wanting to go to Japan all his life. So it makes sense that the best thing to happen for him would be to see all his friends one more time for a warm, hardy goodbye. Who better to arrange that than Reed, his friend since childhood?
